המאבק בפעילות ההימורים הבלתי חוקיים במחוז חוף נמשך במלוא העוצמה: שוטרי תחנות טירת כרמל וזבולון, יחד עם לוחמי יס"מ מרחב כרמל, פשטו במהלך סוף השבוע על שני מקומות ששימשו כבתי הימורים בערים טירת כרמל וחיפה.
במהלך הפעילות המבצעית נחשפו מתחמים שהופעלו תחת כסות של עסקים תמימים, אך בפועל שימשו להפעלת משחקי הימורים אסורים. הכוחות החרימו מחשבים ששימשו להפעלת המשחקים וכן אלפי שקלים במזומן שלפי החשד שימשו לפעילות ההימורים.
מפעילי המקומות עוכבו לחקירה בתחנות המשטרה, והחקירה נגדם נמשכת.
במשטרה מדגישים כי מאבק זה יימשך ללא פשרות: "שוטרי מחוז חוף יפעלו בכל האמצעים העומדים לרשותם במאבק נגד פעילות עבריינית של הימורים בלתי חוקיים, ויגיעו לכל מקום המוסווה כעסק תמים אך מנהל פעילות עבריינית ענפה."
