מקרה חריג נרשם הבוקר (ה׳) בכביש 44: שוטר אגף התנועה הבחין במשאית מסוג פול-טריילר שנוסעת תוך שחסר בה אחד הגלגלים האחוריים – סכנה ממשית לשאר משתמשי הדרך.
לאחר עצירת המשאית ובדיקת הנהג, טען האחרון כי הוא בדרכו למוסך. אולם בבדיקה מעמיקה שערכו השוטרים התברר כי המשאית סובלת מליקויים בטיחותיים נוספים. בעקבות כך, המשאית נאסרה לשימוש למשך 30 יום, והעגלה הנגררת הושבתה כליל עד לתיקון הליקויים ואישור רישוי מחדש.
רישיונו של הנהג נפסל גם הוא ל־30 יום והוא זומן לדין בעבירה של נהיגה ברכב המסכן חיי אדם.
באגף התנועה מדגישים כי מדובר בעבירה חמורה במיוחד שעלולה להסתיים באסון: "נהיגה במשאית במצב כזה מסכנת לא רק את הנהג עצמו, אלא את כלל הנהגים בכביש. אנו קוראים לנהגי המשאיות ולאחראים עליהם לבצע בדיקות תקינות שוטפות ולהקפיד על כללי הבטיחות."
